The Regions feature defines restricted areas within a building that cannot be crossed during the path planning and route generation process. These regions can represent various elements within the building, such as no-go zones, building boundaries, or areas designated for specific systems.
Intersections: Regions can intersect with each other or be inserted into each other, allowing for complex configurations and layouts.
No Path Navigation: Paths and navigation between regions are not possible.
Multiple Uses: Regions can represent various elements within the building, such as:
No-Go Zones: Areas like stairwells, electrical rooms, or openings where pipes should not pass.
Building Boundaries: Physical boundaries that the routing process should respect, such as exterior building boundaries.
System Zones: Areas designated for specific systems where routing for other systems should be avoided, ensuring system segregation and adherence to design requirements.
To define a region, refer to the Region Card section for the process of creating, managing, and editing regions within the software.
By using the Regions feature, users can ensure that the route generation process respects building constraints, keeps different systems separated, and avoids specific zones within the design.
