The Free Navigation feature allows users to temporarily disable all path constraints and routing elements, enabling unrestricted path planning and navigation. This provides a more flexible environment for testing different configurations without considering the options set in these sections.
How It Works
When enabled, Free Navigation removes the constraints imposed by the configured settings, such as no-go-zones, building boundaries, ceiling void height, and routing elements constraints.
This allows the user to focus on testing and experimenting with specific settings, such as the Pipe Type, Elbow Conversion, and P-Trap, without the need of a project.
However, the system will still account for any obstacles defined in the Supported Obstacles section, ensuring that the path generation process remains realistic and avoids collisions with obstacles.
The Search Range defined in the Search Range section will still be valid and will be taken into account during the path planning process, even when Free Navigation is enabled.
Use Case
Quick Testing: This feature is ideal for quickly testing changes to specific configuration settings, such as switching between pipe types or enabling/disabling P-traps, without worrying about other parameters or path restrictions.
Flexible Path Planning: Users can freely navigate and adjust configurations to explore alternative design options or troubleshoot path planning and navigation issues.
By enabling Free Navigation, users can have a more exploratory approach to route planning, allowing for faster testing and adjustments.
