Move vertically only

The Move Vertically Only option in Plumbing Copilot minimizes unnecessary horizontal movement within the walls of the planned route, instructing the software to focus on vertical movement when transitioning between routing elements. This option ensures that Plumbing Copilot uses walls primarily for vertical navigation, to minimize interference with wall elements.

1. Use Case Example

  • With Option Enabled: A path consisting of room → wall → ceiling void. Plumbing Copilot will move vertically through the wall, minimizing horizontal routing.

  • With Option Disabled: Plumbing Copilot can navigate the path in any direction, including horizontal movement through the wall, to find the most efficient route.
