Floor
A floor in Plumbing Copilot refers to a floor element in Revit. The dimensions and boundaries of a floor as a routing element are directly derived from the corresponding Revit floor element.
1. Key Characteristics of Floors as Routing Elements
Physical Dimensions:
Floors in Plumbing Copilot have the same physical dimensions as the floor elements in Revit.
Not Considered as Obstacles:
Floors are excluded from the supported obstacles list during the path planning and navigation process, allowing routing paths to traverse them without restriction.
Floor Openings:
Any floor openings in the Revit model are not automatically taken into consideration during routing. To account for floor openings, they must be added as regions through the control panel.
Refer to the Regions Section for detailed instructions on defining floor openings as regions.
