Move vertically only

Last updated 6 months ago

The Move Vertically Only option in Plumbing Copilot minimizes unnecessary horizontal movement within the plumbing chase of the planned route, instructing the software to focus on vertical movement when transitioning between routing elements. This option ensures that Plumbing Copilot uses the plumbing chase primarily for vertical navigation, and minimize the interference with it.

1. Use Case Example

  • With Option Enabled: A path consisting of room → plumbing chase → ceiling void. Plumbing Copilot will enter and move vertically through the plumbing chase, minimizing horizontal routing.

  • With Option Disabled: Plumbing Copilot can navigate the path in any direction, including horizontal movement through the plumbing chase, to find the most efficient route.
