Slope and Height Issues

1. The current height difference is insufficient to connect the elements using sloped pipes.

  • Cause: The vertical height difference between the start and end elements is too small to allow for a proper slope when connecting with sloped pipes.

  • Solution: Ensure that the height difference between the start and end elements is sufficient for the selected slope. If necessary, adjust the elevation of the elements to increase the height difference.

2. Sloped pipes can't be used to connect two elements at the same height.

  • Cause: Sloped pipes require a height difference to create a slope. If both elements are at the same height, sloped pipes cannot be applied.

  • Solution: Check the height of the start and end elements. If they are at the same height, either adjust the elevation of one of them or use a "0" slope value to connect them.

3. Make sure the start element doesn't have a slope.

  • Cause: The start element may have a predefined slope that conflicts with starting the routing. Plumbing Copilot attempts to adjust the slope by either removing it or adding an Elbow to create a non-sloped pipe. If this adjustment is unsuccessful, the error message is shown to the user.

  • Solution: Verify the slope value of the start element and ensure it is not already sloped. If necessary, manually adjust the slope or remove it to ensure a smooth start to the routing process.

4. Make sure the end element doesn't have a slope.

  • Cause: The end element may have a predefined slope that conflicts with starting the routing. Plumbing Copilot attempts to adjust the slope by either removing it or adding an Elbow to create a non-sloped pipe. If this adjustment is unsuccessful, the error message is shown to the user.

  • Solution: Verify the slope value of the end element and ensure it is not already sloped. If necessary, manually adjust the slope or remove it to ensure a smooth start to the routing process.

5. Make sure the end element is not tilted.

  • Cause: A tilted end element may interfere with the proper connection of sloped pipes.

  • Solution: Ensure the end element is properly aligned with the adjacent walls and not tilted. Adjust the orientation of the element to avoid tilting.

6. The height difference is insufficient to connect the elements using sloped pipes with connection type: {Tee/Wye} and connection direction: {Up/Down/Side}.

  • Cause: The vertical height difference between the start and end elements is not enough to allow sloped pipes to be used.

  • Solution:

    • Ensure the height difference is adequate to create the necessary slope for the selected connection type. Adjust the elevation of the elements if needed.

    • Change the Connection Direction option in the control panel from Up to Side.
